FAQ

Which funders and programmes does Legrant cover?

Calls from Irish, UK and EU programmes: Enterprise Ireland, Local Enterprise Offices, Research Ireland, SEAI, DETE/DTIF, Pobal, Community Foundation Ireland, Innovate UK, UKRI, The National Lottery Community Fund, Horizon Europe, the EIC Accelerator, LIFE and PEACEPLUS, plus charitable foundations. Legrant is independent and not affiliated with any of these bodies.

How is an eligibility verdict different from a match score?

A match score asks you to trust a number. Legrant lists each rule a funder applies and marks it met, a gap you can close (such as a missing letter or baseline), or a hard fail (such as being registered in the wrong country). Each rule cites the call document it came from.

Does Legrant submit applications for me?

No. You always submit through the funder's own portal. Legrant helps you prepare and keeps a record of what you sent and when, but it never sends anything to a funder.

Will the assistant write things that aren't true?

It works from your organisation library and documents, and cites what it used. Where a fact is missing it inserts a marked [gap] rather than inventing one. Suggestions are never applied without your say-so.

Can I import a funder's own form or guidelines?

Yes. Upload the guidelines as PDF or Word, or paste a form URL. Legrant extracts sections, word limits, attachments, eligibility rules, deadlines and scoring criteria, and you can edit anything it got wrong.

Where is my data stored, and is it used for training?

Workspace data is stored and processed in the EU under GDPR. Your documents and drafts are not used to train AI models.

Are the programme details in the sample workspace real?

They are modelled on real programme types to show how Legrant works. Amounts, deadlines and rules in the sample are illustrative; always check the official call documents before applying.

Who is Legrant for?

Startups finding an early-stage path, SMEs running innovation and energy bids, and advisers who keep several clients in one seat. A startup or SME works in one organisation. An adviser switches between client workspaces, each with its own profile, library and applications.

Do cloud credits and accelerators appear alongside grants?

Yes. Public credit programmes and accelerators sit in the same catalogue, and you can start, draft and track them the same way. When the support is credits, a voucher or a place on a programme rather than a cash grant, the budget and work-plan tabs stay hidden.

How does de minimis headroom work?

Legrant adds aid you have recorded to amounts on awarded applications and shows used, pending and left against the €300k rolling three-year ceiling. It is a planning figure before you draft. It does not replace the declaration you make to the funder, and it is separate from the co-funding share a call asks you to put in yourself.

What happens after we win?

You record the result, keep panel feedback on the file, and track claims and reporting on the award. Submitted, awarded and win rate stay visible so the next bid starts from what actually happened.

Can more than one person work on an application?

Starter is one user and two active applications. Team is five seats, with a budget, a review step and grant management after the award. Adviser adds ten client workspaces, a portfolio report, and time and fee tracking. Prices are in euro and exclude VAT. Registered charities and community groups get 30% off any plan or application pack.

What is an application pack?

A one-off pack covers a full draft, a budget, a Word export and a reviewer pass for a set number of applications, valid for 12 months. Use it when you have a bid to finish and do not need a monthly plan.

Can I change a draft after it is generated?

Yes. Every section, budget line and checklist item stays editable. The assistant cites your library and leaves a marked gap where a fact is missing. Nothing is written into the draft until you accept it, and you still submit on the funder's own portal.

How are deadlines and currencies handled?

Each call keeps its real close date, including rolling programmes with a modelled date where the funder has no fixed close. Amounts stay in euro or pounds as published, and totals that mix currencies are shown in euro so you can compare them.
